This assay is only available for Research/Trial purposes.

Standard Troponin assay at Alfred Health is Troponin I only.

If a Troponin T is required for clinical purposes - consult Chemical Pathologist Prof Hans Schneider.

Note: Biotin supplementation may cause falsely low results due to interference with the Troponin T assay. If the patient is known to be taking Biotin, interpret results with caution and contact the Chemical Pathologist (03) 90763118 if further discussion is required.
