Marker of bone formation. Useful for monitoring effect of anti-resorptive therapy and patient compliance.

 

Note: For retrospective test requests;

Serum , K3-EDTA plasma and  Li-heparin plasma are stable for 24 hrs at 15 -25 C, 5 days at 2 - 8C,   6 months at -20C. Samples may be frozen and thawed up to 5 times without adverse effects.

K3-EDTA plasma is our preferred specimen.
