Note: For retrospective test requests;

Specimens may be stored on the clot, rbc or separator gel for up to 8 days at 2-8C.

If testing delayed by >8 days remove serum from the clot or separator gel and store frozen.

Serum specimens stored frozen for 3 mths showed no performance differences. Avoid more than one freeze/thaw cycle.
