This test is only performed for clinical reasons and the results supplied cannot be used for medico–legal purposes. Samples taken in the Emergency Department in relation to the law applying to motor car accidents are not analysed by the Alfred Pathology Service. All queries regarding these samples should be directed to the Secretary or Director, Emergency Department (Ext. 62138).
