This is a non-MBS rebatable test. Costs to be covered by the patient (currently $100)

PERT (Pre-eclampsia test).

Test comprises of sFlt-1 and PLGF.

sFlt-1/PLGF ratio <38: Not likely to develop pre-eclampsia for at least 1 week.

Biotin doses >5mg/day can cause falsely low sFlt-1 and falsely low PLGF results.  Contact the RCH lab if biotin interference is supsected.
