Reference Interval: ≤0.24 umol/L
The National Health and Medical Research Council recommends that if a person has a blood lead level greater than 0.24 umol/L (5 ug/dL) the source of exposure should be investigated and reduced, particularly if the person is a child or pregnant woman. Further information, including guidelines on managing lead in exposed individuals, can be sourced from www.nhmrc.gov.au/guidelines/publications/eh58
