A separate unopened EDTA blood tube is required.
Collect in the morning to allow for the lengthy preparation that must occur on the same day. Specimen must be less than 24 hours old.
A maximum of 1 CMV viral load test per sample type will be performed on any patient in a one week period.
Requests for urgent or more frequent testing must be approved by the Microbiology Unit Head. |
