IMPORTANT - A "MH Sendaway" order should be logged in DOE and the EDTA tube placed in the Human Molecular Pathology (HMP) rack.

HMP will process the sample locally and provide an RNA aliquot to CSP for interstate sendaway to RPA on dry ice.

Additional Notes:

Please note that only most common (90%) breakpoint - CBFB-MYH11 type A is done by quantitative PCR at RPA.

The rarer (10%) breakpoints type D and E are should be sent to WestMead Hosptial for qualitative MRD analysis.

This test requires a paper request form and approval by a Haematologist
