Collection & Request Instructions

Need 10mL of Blood and 3mL of Bone Marrow.

Specimens must be kept at room temperature and must be less than 24hours old.

Specimens should be sent to the Haematology Laboratory on Mondays to Thursdays between 0900-1730 hrs. Outside these hours liase with the Haemtology Registrar on ext 63075 before collecting.

5mL of Blood and/or 2mL of Bone Marrow.

Specimens should be collected and sent to CSP Monday to Thursday at room temperature.

IMPORTANT - A "MH Sendaway" order should be logged in DOE and the EDTA tube placed in the Human Molecular Pathology (HMP) rack.

HMP will process the sample locally and provide an RNA aliquot to CSP for interstate sendaway to RPA on dry ice.
