     Female 10-14 yrs……..0.9 - 7.6  umol/L
     Female 15-45 yrs……..1.8 - 9.2  umol/L
     Female >/= 75 yrs…….0.3 - 4.2  umol/L

     Male 10-14 yrs………...0.7 - 6.7  umol/L
     Male 15-45 yrs………..1.9 - 11.6 umol/L
     Male >/= 75 yrs……….0.4 - 3.3  umol/L

     DHEAS values fall with age.

Note: Biotin supplementation may cause falsely low results due to interference with the DHEAS assay. If the patient is known to be taking Biotin, interpret results with caution and contact the Chemical Pathologist (03) 90763118 if further discussion is required.
