Mark collection time on each tube. Specify protocol when requests are part of a Stimulation or Suppression test.
Endocrine consultation is suggested for dynamic testing.
Reference Ranges: 0800 hrs: 100—540 nmol/L 1700 hrs: 80—480 nmol/L
Addison's disease cannot reasonably be excluded unless the morning cortisol level is > 550 nmol/L.
