Store at 4'C

Store sera at 4°C until tested (<7days). For long term storage samples are frozen at -20°C or -70°C. Repeated freezing and thawing must be avoided.

Heat inactivation must not be carried out as this will lead to false positive results.

ANCA testing only occurs twice weekly on a Tuesday and Thursday. Any request to perform ANCA testing outside of these days must first be discussed with the Consultant Immunologist.
